Refractory Brick

These bricks are made mainly  from (fire) clays and bauxites.

For an alumina content ranging from 20 to 50%, there are three sub categories:Medium-duty Fireclay bricks, High-duty Fireclay bricks and Super-duty Fireclay bricks.

They can develop good volume stability at high temperatures, high mechanical strength, spalling, abrasion and corrosion resistance.They can be mixed with additives such as andalusite, cordierite or mullite, to withstand thermal shocks.
